Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 27, 2026

This is the part of the website where most companies write fifteen paragraphs of legalese designed to be skimmed past. We’re going to do it differently. Below is what Clarene Health actually collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it. Plain language, no surprises.

If you have questions after reading this, email us at clarenehealth@gmail.com.

Who we are

Clarene Health is a women’s hormone health content platform operated from Texas. Our website is clarenehealth.com. For privacy purposes, we are the data controller of any information we collect about you.

What we collect, and why

We collect three categories of information.

Information you give us directly. When you sign up for our email list or download a free guide, you provide your email address and sometimes your first name. We use this to send you what you signed up for and the weekly newsletter. That’s it. We don’t ask for health information, and you should never send us any.

Information collected automatically when you visit. Like nearly every website, ours logs basic technical information when you load a page: the type of device you’re using, your browser, the page you came from, the page you’re reading, and an approximate location based on your IP address. This data helps us understand which articles people find useful and where the site is breaking. It’s aggregated and not used to identify you personally.

Information from cookies and tracking pixels. We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics, audience measurement, and affiliate link tracking. The specific tools are listed in the next section. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not work as well if you do.

The specific tools we use

We try to keep this list short and update it when it changes.

Kit (ConvertKit) handles our email list and form embeds. When you submit your email through one of our forms, that data goes to Kit. Their privacy policy is at kit.com/privacy.

Google Search Console and Google Analytics help us understand which articles are working and which need improvement. Google may use this data per their own privacy practices, available at policies.google.com/privacy. If you’d rather not be measured, the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on works site-wide.

Pinterest tag lets us measure how Pinterest traffic interacts with the site. Pinterest’s privacy policy is at policy.pinterest.com/en/privacy-policy.

Affiliate link tracking. When you click a link to a product or service we recommend, the destination site (Amazon, Winona, Thorne, Ritual, and others as our partner list grows) may set a cookie that tells them you arrived from Clarene Health. If you make a purchase, we earn a commission. The destination site’s privacy policy governs what they do with that information.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your data. We don’t rent it. We don’t share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. The only people who see your email address are the email service we use (Kit) and us.

We also don’t collect health information. We’re a content site, not a clinical service. If you ever email us with personal medical details, please don’t — we’re not equipped to handle protected health information and we don’t want the responsibility of doing so badly.

How long we keep things

We keep your email address for as long as you’re subscribed and for a reasonable period after you unsubscribe, in case you re-subscribe later. If you ask us to delete your data entirely, we will.

Anonymous analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the tools above — typically 14 to 26 months for Google Analytics, similar for Pinterest.

Your rights

What you can ask us to do depends slightly on where you live, but the practical answer is: we honor any reasonable request from any reader, regardless of jurisdiction.

If you’re in California (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information we have about you, to request a copy of it, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We don’t sell or share, but you can still make any of these requests by emailing clarenehealth@gmail.com. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

If you’re in the EU or UK (GDPR/UK GDPR). You have the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to processing. Our legal basis for processing your email is your consent (when you signed up) and our legitimate interest in operating an analytics-informed website. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, though we’d appreciate the chance to address concerns directly first.

If you’re elsewhere in the United States (Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, and others as new laws come online). Most state laws give you rights similar to California’s. Email us with what you want, and we’ll handle it the same way we handle California requests.

To make any request, email clarenehealth@gmail.com from the address you signed up with. We’ll respond within 30 days, usually faster.

Cookies, in slightly more detail

Cookies fall into a few categories on our site:

Strictly necessary cookies keep the site functional. These can’t be turned off without breaking things.

Analytics cookies are the Google and Pinterest cookies described above. They help us see what’s working.

Functionality cookies remember things like whether you’ve already seen a popup or signed up for the newsletter, so we don’t bother you again.

We don’t use advertising cookies. We don’t run display ads. We don’t retarget you elsewhere on the internet.

If you’re in the EU or UK, you’ll see a cookie consent banner the first time you visit. Your preferences are saved for that browser. You can change them anytime via the cookie settings link in our footer.

Children

This site is written for adults — specifically women in their late thirties through early fifties — and is not directed at children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, email us and we’ll delete it.

International transfers

Clarene Health is operated from the United States. If you’re reading this from outside the US, the data you submit (such as your email address through our signup form) will be transferred to and stored in the US. The service providers we use have their own safeguards for international transfers, including standard contractual clauses where required.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when we add a new tool, change how something works, or when the law changes. The “last updated” date at the top is always current. Material changes (new categories of data, new third parties) will be announced in the newsletter so subscribers aren’t surprised.
